The site for the rendezvous was in the middle of some of the finest
riding country that I've ever seen! Great rural scenery, winding dirt
roads that climbed and dipped through the surrounding mountains, and
some really friendly little towns were all part of the mix. Whatever
you like to ride, you'd find it nearby. I actually heard one rider saying
that the ride that he'd joined for the day had, "too many twisties!"
Never heard that one before...

One of the farms near the Resort. Famers lay out their land for practical
reasons, but create art in the process.

The Nolichucky River pours over the dam near Greenville, Tennessee in
full flood. While I watched, a car tire plunged over the top of the
dam into the maelstrom on the right side of the river. For about 5 minutes,
it would sink from sight, only to explode from the water again, shooting
several feet into the air as though trying to escape the swirling water.
Man, I bet the whitewater companies were loving the high water after
two years of drought condtions.
