Riding the Dragon!

The next morning, we awoke to heavy fog, but the skies soon cleared and I enjoyed a great ride home under sunny skies.

I decided that rather than cutting back across the Cherohala again, I would ride south on Hwy. 68 out of Tellico Plains to ride over the dam at Hiwassee Lake.

From the dam at Hiwassee, I picked up the Joe Brown Highway over to Murphy and then followed Hwy. 64 back home. Hwy. 63 is a beautiful ride, especially the section between Murphy and Franklin, where the road passes over some high mountains.
Our first southeastern Versys gathering was a great success - can't wait until the next one. It was great to meet the other guys and to see the bikes.
