The bottom photo shows the Heart River as it exits the lake, a couple of hundred feet beyond my camp. By the way, if you stay there, get your water from Surprise Creek to avoid having to skim geese feathers (and worse) from the drink. Also, the water is highly mineralized (just as it is in a lot of other Yellowstone streams), and clogs a filter in no time at all.
