Two views of the Wedge here - the one on top takes in the view from the snowfield (I'm not sure that it qualifies as an actual glacier...) that I passed on the climb along the south side of Mount Meek. When I summited the Wedge a day later, I approached from the southwest side.
The western side of the Tetons slope up from the Teton Basin, unlike the dramatic 7,000 ft. sheer rise on the east side of the range. From some vantage points, it's easy to see how the earth cracked and tilted skyward to form the magnificent Teton Range. Even though you have to hike a lot further to gain the altitude on the west side, the views are just as impressive.
