This is the place that I keep returning to, year after year. It is, for the most part, the lesser traveled side of the Tetons. Stretched out for miles along the rugged west slope of the Teton Range, the Jedediah Smith Wilderness encompasses several major canyons. The northern half of the Wilderness is home to the Great Bear, and in the years since I first visited the region, the mighty Griz has extended its range ever further to the south. The Wilderness is getting a whole lot wilder.

This page covers the Table Mtn. and Devils Stairs region of the Wilderness.
