Grand Targhee and the South Leigh Lakes, Jedediah Smith Wilderness

Above: A wide view of the rugged upper reaches of the North Fork of Teton Canyon and the South Leigh Lakes region. Although the Mill Creek trail ends officially at the intersection with the Beards Wheatfield trail, a faint path continues on out the ridgeline and is easy to follow.

Below: The Grand with the Wigwams just in front of the huge peak. I'm not sure where the Wigwams moniker came from, but I've always thought that doing a traverse from Table Mountain over to the South Leigh Lakes basin across the Wigwams would be a lot of fun.
