The Devils Stairs trail in the Jedediah Smith Wilderness

...And one more specimen from the trailside, with the high southern boundary of the South Leigh Canyon looming on the horizon.

While I was setting up for this shot, a cow moose with her calf charged up the steep hillside above me, moving at an incredible rate, considering the terrain. I think that she paid me a visit around midnight too, while I was camping on the Shelf above.
