Steve and Holly make their way up the Boulevard through deep snow below Myrtle Point. The trees in this photo were killed by the wooly adelgid. Unlike the hemlock adelgid though, the wooly adelgid probably won't completely eliminate its host trees from the mountains. The young trees spring up from the roots of the old trees and maintain a thick, if very young, forest.
