I would have liked to have been in a safe location to watch as this slide ripped down from the ridge above. It's about 1,000 feet long and probably 50 feet deep in places. One hazard I noticed was the many large rocks that had managed to wedge in tree branches 30 feet above the ground, waiting for a nudge to set them free. You had to be extremely careful not to set a mini-slide in motion.
