Dat's all, folks! For now, at least. I'll end this series with a single photo of a tree that, to me, illustrates what I love about this time of year. The colors are so intense and varied in the high country of the southern Appalachians that it takes your breath away. This particular specimen was located on a high ridge above the town of Cherokee.
