| Inside the Shoshone Lake geyser basin, it's easy to see that you're inside the caldera of an ancient volcano. Steam rises everywhere from the ground, and in some spots, such as the one below, it seems that the ground could split apart at any moment. It's wild country with the 'hair still on it' and it simply doesn't get any better than this. |
