Two views of Yellowstone Lake and Mt. Sheridan from the Fishing Bridge area. This is looking south, upriver, towards the Lake and snow-covered Sheridan, part of the Red Mountain Range west of Heart Lake. At one time, hundreds of anglers lined Fishing Bridge, competing with the Park's wildlife for the huge numbers of cutthroat trout that left the Lake to spawn. Now fishing is restricted in the area of Fishing Bridge to preserve the resource for wildlife.
